Son sought after former NFL player, wife found dead in Minnesota home

Authorities are searching for the son of a former NFL player who was found dead with his wife at the couple’s home this week in Long Prairie, Minnesota, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Friday.

Barry Bennett, who was a defensive lineman in an 11-season NFL career, and his wife, Carol, were found dead Wednesday afternoon by a friend who went to check on them after calls and texts went unanswered.

Bennett was 63. It’s unclear how old his wife was.

Todd County sheriffs officials are searching for the couple’s son – identified by authorities as Dylan John Bennett, 22 (via The Associated Press) – in connection with his parents’ deaths.
