Wan-Bissaka is closing in on a £50million move from Crystal Palace to Manchester United.
The right-back impressed United enough in his first full season in the Palace first team to attract their attention.
Wan-Bissaka is likely to take the place of Ashley Young, who was predominantly United’s right-back last season.
However, young Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot may see his game time in his preferred position on the right of defence limited.
Dalot can probably be pushed forward
Nick Wright on Man Utd star Diogo Dalot
So Wright thinks Dalot, who occasionally played as a winger last season, will be used further forward more often by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
“Dalot can probably be pushed forward,” Wright said on the Transfer Talk podcast.
“We did see him play in quite advanced roles last season.
“He looks like a great prospect as well.
“United will probably he hoping they can work together.”
Wan-Bissaka played just once for England in the recent European Under-21 Championship, scoring an own goal in the opener against France.
But Wright says it would be wrong to judge the 21-year-old on that performance rather than the season he had at Palace.
“I think that Wan-Bissaka did have a difficult tournament in Italy but I don’t think we should necessarily allow that to cloud the season he had with Crystal Palace,” he added.
“He was outstanding for them, statistically he was absolutely incredible in a defensive sense.
“The amount of tackles and interceptions he made. He was very, very reliable and he’s got real potential going forward as well.
“The supposed price tag is massive but so is his potential so United have a decision to make there.
“They probably accept that is what they’re going to have to pay.”
