Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has seen his fortune hit almost £100m but is still dreaming of amassing a wealth of £1bn.
The Watford-born warrior recently suffered the second defeat of his career with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk snatching his WBA, WBC, IBF and IBO titles.
There had been hopes of a British unification bout with Tyson Fury but AJ will now return to the ring for a rematch with Usyk in Spring 2022.
But the Sun report despite a torrid year for the 32-year-old, he was still able to make a profit of £9.7m, taking his total career earnings to almost £100m.
From March 2020 to February this year the report alleges Joshua made £15.6m through his business Sparta Promotions which now has a reserve of £98m.
But earnings were severely hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Brit made 50.2m less than the previous year with his one fight against Kubrat Pulev at O2 Arena in London making just £7.2m.

Having already achieved one dream of becoming a multi-millionaire, Joshua has previously stated his goal has shifted and the former heavyweight champion now has his eye on reaching a net-worth of £1bn.
He said: "When I first started, the aim was to become a multi-millionaire. But now there are ordinary people, grandmas and grandads, who are worth millions just because of property prices.
“So the new school of thought is that I need to be a billionaire. Being a millionaire is good but you have to set your sights higher.”
