The World Boxing Council will present Floyd Mayweather with a special ‘Juneteenth-themed’ belt after his exhibition bout against John Gotti III.
Mayweather will take on the grandson of the late celebrity gangster John Gotti on June 11. It’s believed the new belt has been created due to the fact their Florida bout will take place just over a week before the Juneteenth federal holiday.
Because of this, the WBC want to commemorate it with a unique, holiday themed keepsake for the 50-0 boxing great as well as Robert Smith, James McNair, and Deon Taylor.

“Juneteenth is a national holiday and Floyd Mayweather is the best representative for success and glory through hard work and dedication,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said to TMZ Sports.
"The WBC will thank and support these four great men who make life better for all every single day." Of course, Mayweather’s bout is only an exhibition which will see neither Mayweather or Gotti be crowned the winner.

Nevertheless, Mayweather will still take home the custom designed belt at the end of the contest. The Juneteenth honour features the usual green and gold design, but it is supplemented with some gold chains, two clenched black fists and a handshake between a white hand and a black hand.
The new belt is not the only scheme that will happen at the event. Mayweather is also inviting hundreds of underprivileged children to watch his bout in the summer.
"I have teamed up with Robert Smith and Deon Taylor with a charitable initiative attached to my upcoming fight,” Mayweather said to TMZ Sports. “We are going to be hosting several hundred underprivileged kids from the inner city to come to my fight.
“We will have a day of fun with them and a private dinner with them during the fight week.”
