This week news was released of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua signing contracts to fight this year.

As delighted as I was that Queensberry, along with the other parties involved, had all signed off on the contract, it was disappointing the way the public were made aware.

But it's out there now and the reality is, we are a step closer to the undisputed heavyweight title fight happening.

Now we all have a limited time window to deliver a venue for what is going to be the biggest fight in British boxing history.

There are plenty interested but it is about making sure we get the right deal for all involved.

We still have a way to go but we are working together to get a site sorted for a summer fight.

There's still plenty of boxing going on outside of the big one and next weekend we have a double header on back-to-back nights in London on BT Sport.

First up on Friday night, Sam Maxwell takes on Akeem Ennis Brown with the British and Commonwealth light-welterweight titles on the line.

It is a terrific main event that I'm sure will thrill fans watching at home.

It is also a first chance to see Zach Parker in action since he joined our team and the super-middleweight has world title ambitions this year.

Then there are two rising stars in bantamweight Dennis McCann and heavyweight David Adeleye in action too.

Speaking of future stars, we were delighted to announce Denzel Bentley's clash with Felix Cash on April 24.

The pair will meet for the British and Commonwealth middleweight titles and credit to Cash for taking on the challenge.

But I believe my man Bentley has what it takes to come out of this victorious.
