Logal Paul says he is in the dark about the official rules for his exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather – just five days before the fight takes place in Miami.
The YouTube star is planning to stun the world of boxing with a shock victory over the undefeated hall of famer on Sunday but has been tipped to suffer a heavy and comprehensive defeat in just his second professional bout.
The fight was slated to be an eight-round affair with three minute rounds, but Paul admits he has no idea what the protocols are – and he is even clueless about how heavy his gloves will be.

He faces a task of epic proportions in his bid to stun the undefeated hall of famer in Miami
‘I don’t know how this is possible but I do not know,’ he told the True Geordie Podcast. ‘I’m hearing 10oz, 12oz [gloves]. I’m hearing eight rounds, I’m hearing three minutes, I’m hearing two minutes, I don’t f***ing know.
‘We’re prepared for anything. We did a legit proper camp. We’re doing hard sparring rounds, 10-12 rounds, three different guys, we’re ready.’
Paul has been given little hope of rocking the apple cart against the 50-0 star, but he remains bullish about his chances and insists he has been training with ‘a group of pros’ who have emulated Mayweather’s style.
‘We’ve got a group of pros [to spar with],’ he added. ‘Some guys are brawlers, some guys are boxers. We try to get guys who can emulate Floyd, or at least keep the pace for small guys.
But the YouTuber has been upbeat about his chances of causing a huge upset on Sunday

‘Honestly every look we can, we get: pros, solid, solid boxers. I sparred a couple of times, [WBA light-heavyweight champion] Jean Pascal, who is on the undercard actually. It’s great work, tough guy.
‘He was already here in Puerto Rico training, happened to be in the same gym and we got a couple of sessions in.’
Last week he goaded his upcoming opponent by calling him a ‘pipsqueak’ and mocking him for posting a photo of a bloody sparring session, promising to make their showdown ‘the worst day of your life’.
Paul called Mayweather ‘a pipsqueak’ and said their fight would be ‘the worst day of your life’
‘Floyd Mayweather is so excited that he made someone bleed in sparring,’ he said in a clip on social media.
‘He posted the same picture twice from the same day, he’s so excited. Hey champ, you’re not the only person who makes people bleed in sparring. Who are you sparring bro? You’re sparring trash.
‘You pipsqueak. June 6 is going to be the worst day of your life dog. I’m going to make this so hard for you.’
Paul has only fought once in his professional career – suffering a points defeat against fellow YouTuber KSI, who also came out on top against him in their first fight at amateur level.
Many former boxers fear Paul could be seriously hurt in his fight against Mayweather, including Tony Bellew – who believes the internet personality will be ‘absolutely schooled’ when he enters the ropes.
He only has one previous fight on his record – which he lost against fellow YouTuber KSI
But former Middleweight world champion believes Paul’s significant size advantage gives him a shot at causing an upset, and warned Mayweather that he risks making a ‘mockery’ out of his legacy should he fall to defeat.
He told Sky Sports: ‘Mayweather should be far too good for him, but it’s exciting and it’s got your interest, because Logan Paul is so big, Mayweather has been retired for so long, and you do think, “Oh what if Mayweather ruins his whole legacy by losing to a YouTuber?” That’s the appeal. That’s going to make you watch it.
‘I don’t want to say he’s got a chance, but he has got a chance Logan Paul, because he looks like he can shape up quite well. He’s had a couple of fights and he’s so big.
‘Mayweather could end up making a mockery of his whole career. If he gets caught and gets put down, it will be embarrassing. If he loses, he might as well get a one-way ticket to Australia.’
