Logan Paul could earn more than £10million from his exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather – 50 times more than first claimed.
The social media star, who lost his only previous fight as a professional boxer, will take on the retired ring legend on February 20.
It was initially reported that Paul would earn £200,000 plus his percentage of pay-per-view sales while Mayweather would bank £10m.
But on Paul's YouTube podcast Impaulsive , his co-host Mike Majlak corrected those suggestions.
"Who is reporting this news story?" he asked. "$200,000 to get in the ring with one of the greatest of all time?"
Paul added: "Everyone wants to know about the money for this fight. Everyone wants to know what got Floyd to take this fight, was it the money?
"I'll say this, you're way off with your estimates, and you'll never know…
"I'd probably would have done this fight for free. It's an iconic opportunity, this is some legacy s***… I'd have done this for free.
"This is the coolest thing in the world. I get to grace the ring with one of the best boxers of all time and attempt to take his head off.
"But I didn't take it for free, I'm going to make a good amount."
Majlak then interjected to say: "Eight figures… you're not going to say it, but eight figures."
Paul made his professional debut against fellow YouTube star KSI in Los Angeles in 2019.
He was beaten on points in what was a rematch of their white-collar bout in Manchester a year earlier.
Paul's brother Jake also turned professional and has won his first two fights against YouTuber Ali Eson Gib and former NBA star Nate Robinson.
The younger sibling has also been vocal in calling out former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor.
