MLB free agency rumors: Yankees re-sign CC Sabathia to 1-year deal

CC Sabathia is headed back to the Yankees.

New York and the 38-year-old left-hander have agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal, according to a report from MLB.com, which cites an unidentified league source. Sabathia “wanted to quickly” work out something with the team, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

Sabathia tallied a 9-7 record with a 3.65 ERA in 29 starts in 2018. He struck out 140 and walked 51 in 153 innings pitched.
