Red Sox to visit White House on Feb. 15, report says; attendance not mandatory

President Donald Trump can get his next mass order of fast food ready now as the World Series Champion Red Sox have tabbed Feb. 15 for their visit to the White House.

“We thought an earlier visit rather than waiting until later in the year made the most sense,” team president Sam Kennedy told the Boston Globe.

With the date set, we now wait to see which members of the organization actually attend. Kennedy said “a healthy representation of ownership, executives, coaches and players” is expected to make the trip, while manager Alex Cora has said he will attend. Attendance is not mandatory.

The team, which will travel to Washington D.C. as a group from Fort Myers, Florida, will also visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
