Joakim Noah is optimistic he’ll play in the NBA again.
The 33-year-old center had an ugly tenure with the Knicks before he was waived earlier this month. But, he told the Chicago Sun-Times he is working out “a couple of times” a day and is not ready for his career to be over.
“I’m staying ready and focused,” Noah said. “(Just) waiting, if something good comes along.”
Noah signed a four-year, $72 million contract with New York in 2016. But, he saw action in just seven games for the Knicks last season, totaling 40 minutes, and he left the team in late January after a dispute with then-coach Jeff Hornacek.

Noah was also suspended for 20 games after violating the NBA’s drug policy in March 2017.
The veteran spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Bulls before he joined the Knicks. He made two All-Star teams and was the 2013-14 Defensive Player of the Year during his time with Chicago.
