Fantasy Kicker Rankings Week 2: Who to start, sit at kicker in fantasy football

Our Week 2 fantasy kicker rankings are still based largely on reputation. Sure, we learned some things from Week 1, but as we saw in individual games — a kicker can look great one kick and terrible the next. Imagine the fluctation week to week. Sure, we can take a few things from last week — team offensive ability, coaching strategy, defensive stoutness — but honestly, not much.

So, again, we’re largely looking at historical trends with these guys. Chances are, we have someone ranked in the 20s right now who will finish the year in the top 10. That’s kicker for you, and it’s why we always suggest not having a kicker spot in your league.

WEEK 2 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST

If nothing else, you can always use whether a player is playing in a stadium with a roof as a tie-breaker. Matt Prater (vs. MIN), Matt Gay (@ IND), Greg Zuerlein (@ LAC), and Rodrigo Blankenship (vs. Rams) are the key guys who won’t have to worry about the elements at all. Of course, there likely won’t be a ton of weather worries this early in the season, but it’s still nice when conditions are perfect.

WEEK 2 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST

Note We’ll update these kicker rankings as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement.
