Steelers list Mitch Trubisky No. 1 on depth chart; QB also named a team captain

The Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday released their unofficial depth chart for Week 1 of the 2022 season, and Mitchell Trubisky is listed as their starting quarterback.

While head coach Mike Tomlin hasn’t made an official announcement on the matter, Trubisky has presumably won the three-way QB competition between him, Mason Rudolph and first-round rookie Kenny Pickett. Trubisky also was named a team captain on Monday.

Pittsburgh also listed Rudolph as the primary backup and Pickett as the third-string QB on their unofficial depth chart.

Tomlin is scheduled to speak to the media on Tuesday morning.

Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.
