Tom Brady and Antonio Brown are more than just teammates now

Antonio Brown is making his much-anticipated debut for the Buccaneers next week vs. the Saints, but he should, literally, feel right at home with his quarterback — not just because the two are familiar, but because Brown will be shacking up at Tom Brady’s house, per reports.

Fox Sport’s Jay Glazer reports that Brady has invited Brown to stay in his home, in an act of kindness. Brown has mended fences with head coach Bruce Arians, impressed the team with his physique and has a head start on the Bucs’ offense

“As far as getting caught up on the gameplan, how about this? He has a leg up, because he’s actually been staying at Tom Brady’s house,” Glazer said. “And Tom has actually been helping him off the field as well, lining him up with people to help him, including people like Tony Robbins.”

Brady going the extra mile to help Brown is admirable, but it’s also nothing new: The then-Patriots quarterback invited Brown to stay with him in 2019 while both were briefly teammates in New England. Brown would be cut after a single appearance with the Pats, while Brady would take his talents to Florida after the season.

Brown and Brady shared mutual admiration, with lots of Instagram love flowing both ways over the past year. The Buccaneers quarterback essentially making sure to babysit Brown so he can’t get himself into trouble is truly dedication.

After a months-long will-they-won’t-they saga between the Buccaneers and Brown, the much-maligned wide receiver signed with Tampa Bay on Oct. 27 just months after Arians said he wanted nothing to do with Brown.

Brown, 32, is finishing his eight-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy stemming from sexual assault allegations and an arrest earlier in the year.

All this is to say, with the football bromance fully rekindled, don’t be surprised when Brown and Brady show up to Raymond James Stadium in matching outfits this season.
