Sir Stirling Moss’ widow has died of “a broken heart”, according to her older sister.
Lady Susie Moss’ close relatives shared the tragic news that she had passed away this week at the age of 69, less than three years after the Formula One legend’s death.
British motorsport icon Moss died aged 90 in April 2020. His beloved wife of nearly four decades was at his bedside when he passed, having nursed him through a long illness.

Susie said at the time: “He died as he lived, looking wonderful. He simply tired in the end and he just closed his beautiful eyes and that was that.”
She added: "It was one lap too many. He just closed his eyes."
But her older sister Tina has revealed that Susie’s health rapidly deteriorated after the 16-time F1 grand prix winner’s death, with her passing owed more to grief than any particular condition.
Tina told The Mail: "My beloved sister died of a broken heart. She never recovered after Stirling left us. Their marriage was the greatest love story I have ever known."
Moss shot to fame after World War II with his sensational skills behind the wheel, which would later cement him as the greatest F1 driver never to win a Championship.
He finished second in four Championships. His greatest victories came at the 1961 Monaco Grand Prix, where he thwarted off the faster Ferraris in his Lotus, and the legendary 1955 Mille Miglia endurance race in Italy.
He married his third wife Susie Paine, the daughter of an old friend, in 1980, with their son Elliot born shortly after.
Susie had said in the past that their age gap of 20 years didn't matter.
"I never thought about it because, to me, he was never old. He was always such fun," she lovingly said.
