F1 qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix takes place at the Hungaroring for the 12th round of the season.

Lewis Hamilton, who finished ninth after an error strewn race last week in the German Grand Prix, will be looking bounce back by repeating last year’s performance at the Hungarian GP which saw the British driver claim pole position and the race day win.

Elsewhere, Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas and rival Charles Leclerc will also be looking to get their F1 campaign back on track after both drivers crashed in Hockenheim.

Sportsmail’s Dan Ripley will provide live coverage of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix in the final race before the summer break.

FINAL PRACTICE REPORT: Lewis Hamilton narrowly fastest in Hungarian Grand Prix final practice… in session shortened by 10 minutes after track is covered by cement dust

An intriguing final session before qualifying. Less than a tenth of a second separated Hamilton from Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel. Hopefully it will be that close in qualifying.

Good afternoon all and welcome to our live coverage of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
