- Elliot Daly (hamstring) has been replaced by Ollie Lawrence in the England squad
- Jamie Blamire has been selected in place of Jamie George who has concussion
England’s injury crisis ahead of the Six Nations has deepened after the withdrawal of hooker Jamie George and centre Elliot Daly.
New coach Steve Borthwick has now lost four players this week, with lock Courtney Lawes and back-up hooker George McGuigan also pulling out.
With George suffering from concussion and Daly facing a hamstring problem, the less experienced Jamie Blamire and Ollie Lawrence have been called up as cover.

With 11 days until the opening Test against Scotland, Borthwick is already facing selection headaches for the Calcutta Cup.
Prop Mako Vunipola is in camp but nursing a foot injury, while flanker Tom Curry and hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie have already been ruled out.
Having already called in hooker Tom Dunn and lock Dave RIbbans as cover, Borthwick said on Monday: ‘The game against Scotland is a week on Saturday so there is plenty of water to go under the bridge between now and then and before I name that team. We’ve got a good squad and players who are desperate for the opportunity.
‘Whenever there is a setback it opens up an opportunity for somebody else. Players have got to grab those opportunities with both hands and not let go. You need a squad where players are competing for places. We’ve got to build greater depth.’
