Alex Telles’ agent ‘flies to the UK’ to thrash out transfer to Man United

Alex Telles' agent has reportedly flown to England to thrash out a deal for his client to join Manchester United.

The Porto defender has long been a Red Devils transfer target, and Portuguese publication A Bola claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have "intensified" their interest.

United are keen on signing a left-back given the fact that both Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams are currently out of action with injuries.

Telles fits the bill, but Sergio Reguilon is also on the Red Devils' transfer list.

The report claims that United are further down the line with completing a deal for Brazilian star Telles, with his agent even flying to the UK.

The agent intends to push everything along at a quicker pace to get the transfer over the line.

Telles, 27, is out of contract in June 2021, which is good news for Manchester United, who do not want to overpay to sign the left-back.

Telles has previously been valued at €30million (£27m) by Porto, but the Red Devils would likely be able to snap him up for less than this amount.

The Red Devils have completed just one piece of business so far this summer window, signing Donny van de Beek from Ajax.

The Holland international set the Old Trafford club back £35million.

United remain interested in a plethora of players, including Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.
