Arsenal fans fume at Willian for Dubai trip as club sweating over Covid-19 test

Arsenal fans have been letting fuming at Willian for taking a trip to Dubai as he left the club sweating over a Covid-19 test.

The Brazilian was not called up for international duty in November, following a disappointing start in north London.

Having grabbed two assists at the start of the Premier League campaign against Fulham, the forward has not registered another since.

And the Telegraph have reported that he could have to wait even longer to make an impact following a trip abroad.

Willian was snapped at Dubai steakhouse Nusr-Et, a regular stop for footballers and celebrities.

Enjoying a demonstration by owner Nusret Gocke, more commonly known as “Salt Bae”, the video was shared on his Instagram story on Monday.

The 32-year-old has now returned to London – but will have to return a negative Covid-19 test in order to return to Gunners training.

It comes amid the UK’s latest travel guidelines that joints from England are restricted “except in limited circumstances such as work or education”.

Arsenal had reportedly been struggling to find out where Willian, who had not been forced to self-isolate on his return from Dubai, had been before his Instagram post.

And the Gunners faithful have been left furious with the forward for his decision

“I'm begging you, keep Willian tied up in Dubai,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “Willian is terrible.”

While a third saw the funny side of the situation, with: “Lmao! Just realized we probably won't even have Willian because he went to Dubai. Berk.”

And a fourth added: “Willian left to go to Dubai the idiot. So he should be dropped for Longer In my opinion . Also get well soon to them all but Willian, you idiot.”

With a fifth simply writing: “What the f*** is Willian thinking?”

Arsenal will look to get back to winning ways against Leeds, having suffered a 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa before the international break.

But they are also set to be without Mohamed Elneny after testing positive for Covid-19 on Egypt duty.
