Arsenal will not sell Hector Bellerin for anything less than their asking price, according to reports. Bellerin has found himself out of favour at Arsenal in recent weeks. The Spaniard has not played a single minute of Premier League action in the Gunners’ last five matches despite being fit and available.

Cedric Soares and, more recently, Calum Chambers have been preferred on the right side of defence to Bellerin.

Bellerin is one of the longest-serving members of the first-team squad at the Emirates.

The 26-year-old has made over 230 appearances for the Gunners since his debut in 2013.

Bellerin still has two years left on his Arsenal contract but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims there is a “huge chance” the defender will be leaving Arsenal this summer.

Last September, Bellerin was linked with a £35million move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Romano does not disclose how much the Gunners want for Bellerin but says they will be steadfast in not accepting “any discount” in price.

Romano tweeted: “There are ‘huge chances’ for Hector Bellerin to leave Arsenal in the summer.

“Leonardo wanted him at PSG one year ago but there was no agreement between the two clubs. Now it’d be an open race – #AFC won’t make any discount.”

Juventus and Bayern Munich have been linked with Bellerin in the past, as well as PSG.

Arsenal boss Arteta took Spanish compatriot Bellerin under his wing when he was a player at the Emirates.

Bellerin described Arteta as a “big brother” during that time.

However, Arteta says that relationship has had to change since he became manager.

Arteta said in February: “Obviously, when you know the person and you know the professional, it’s easier to help them because you know how he feels, you know what he needs and how to get the best out of him.

“It’s true that this season he’s found much more consistency, he’s been available in many more matches and hopefully, he’s now forgotten the last two years when injuries meant he wasn’t able to play as much.

“It’s a very tricky one. You can’t change your feelings towards somebody but then you have to be fair, you have to be really demanding as well, and it has to be a space that has to be shared and lived in in a different way between a player and a manager.

“It doesn’t mean that your feelings are different towards the person.”
