Arsenal open to Aubameyang transfer, Camavinga price set and Torreira nears exit

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta still has work to do in the summer transfer market following his side's nightmare start to the season.

The Gunners have lost their first two Premier League matches of the 2021/22 campaign, slumping to a 2-0 defeat at home to Chelsea on Sunday after Brentford beat them by the same scoreline in their opening fixture.

Arteta and technical director Edu have already spent £132million five new signings this summer, but they may now look to strengthen further before next week's transfer deadline.

Some players could also be heading for the Emirates exit, so we're on hand with the latest Arsenal transfer news below.

Aubameyang sale?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is no longer considered indispensable by Arsenal and will be allowed to leave the club if the right offer comes in, according to The Telegraph.

The 32-year-old saw his goalscoring form plummet last season, producing a disappointing return of 15 goals in all competitions after bagging 29 and 31 in the previous two campaigns.

As a result, Gunners chiefs will not stand in his way should another club show interest in buying him, although his £250,000-a-week wages could put off any potential suitors.

Camavinga price set

Along with Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG, Arsenal have been linked with a move for Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the 18-year-old midfielder is available for around £30million, with Rennes prepared to cash in on their young star after failing to tie him down to a new contract.

However, the Gunners may face difficulty in winning the race for Camavinga's signature given they cannot offer him European football this season.

Torreira exit near

According to football.london, forgotten Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is closing in on a move to Fiorentina.

Torreira, who spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid after falling out of favour under Arteta in north London, will join the Italian club on an initial loan deal that includes an obligation to buy him outright at the end of it.
