Chelsea have reportedly made contact regarding a move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski this summer. Chelsea are in the market for a striker, with Sky Sports claiming they are one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing wantaway Tottenham star Harry Kane.
Tammy Abraham has been out of favour under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea and was left out of the squad for Saturday’s FA Cup final defeat to Leicester.
Olivier Giroud looks set to leave the Blues at the end of his contract this summer.
Both Abraham and Giroud leaving would leave Timo Werner as the only recognised No 9 in Tuchel’s squad.
Chelsea are one of a host of clubs across Europe who are interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

However, Dortmund maintain they will not sell Haaland until his release clause becomes active in the summer of 2022.
Kane is another option for Chelsea but the rivalry with Tottenham makes that deal extremely unlikely.
So now Sky Germany say Lewandowski is a topic of discussion among the hierarchy at Chelsea.
The report claims contact has already been made regarding a potential raid on Bayern Munich.

However, Chelsea would have to persuade Lewandowski to join them as Spain is still his most-preferred destination if he were to leave Bayern.
The Poland international still has two years remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena.
Lewandowski, who will turn 33 in August, has scored an astonishing 40 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances this season.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Lewandowski as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
However, Sky say the striker has no interest in moving to the Ligue 1 giants.
Chelsea’s desire to sign a forward is clear, as they are linked with three of the top players in that position in world football.
But former Spurs striker Darren Bent believes they would have to spend more than other teams to sign Kane due to the rivalry between the London clubs.
“One of the clubs who have got that kind of money is Chelsea and they will throw everything at it,” Bent told talkSPORT.
“Do I see Daniel Levy selling to Chelsea? I don’t, unless you add another £50million onto it, £200m.
“Although Chelsea have the money for it, the hatred between the two football clubs [will stop it].
“I’ve played in that derby. It’s a really good game to play in, but it’s really hostile.
“For Daniel Levy to be seen as making one of their rivals stronger, in terms of a London rival, I can’t see that happening.”
