Chelsea are reportedly scouting Jordan Pickford at the World Cup with Todd Boehly keen to bring in a new goalkeeper.
In between the sticks has been a problem position for the Blues, with Edouard Mendy signed in 2020 to replace the error-prone Kepa Arrizabalaga, who had only joined for a world record £71.6million fee two years prior.
However, Mendy hasn't been convincing either, with his frailties once again on show in Senegal's 2-0 defeat to the Netherlands in their World Cup opener. So according to The Sun, Stamford Bridge chiefs are looking at alternatives – including Pickford.

England's No. 1 hasn't put a foot wrong under Gareth Southgate, keeping five clean sheets en route to the Euro 2020 final last summer.
Despite conceding two goals, he put in another assured performance in the 6-2 thrashing of Iran in Qatar this afternoon (November 21) as the Three Lions got their World Cup campaign underway.
Pickford has been criticised at times for his decision making for Everton, but on the whole he's established himself as one of the best shot stoppers in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old has just 18 months left on his contract at Goodison Park, which means he could be available for a reduced fee next summer. Everton are keen to tie him down, with boss Frank Lampard saying earlier this season: "It's something we want to do. We want to get the right solution."
Pickford is said to be happy to stay put, but a mega-money offer from Chelsea could be tempting. Graham Potter is supposedly keen on his former Brighton 'keeper Robert Sanchez, but his deal runs until 2025, meaning it would take a sizeable sum to prise him away from the Amex.
