Chelsea have reportedly seen their opening offer for Erling Haaland rejected by Borussia Dortmund, according to reports in Germany. The Blues have finally made their first move for the Norwegian striker, who is Thomas Tuchel’s No 1 target, after weeks of speculation but as they have said all summer, Dortmund are insistent Haaland is not for sale.

Despite that, agent Mino Raiola continues to be open-minded in regards to his clients future.

He has been told quite clearly by Dortmund that they do not want to sell him at any price.

Haaland’s £64million release clause is set to spark a scramble next summer when it becomes active.

Yet despite that, Dortmund are not interested in earning mega-money before the start of the new season given they have already lost Jadon Sancho.

Although it has been reported in Germany that an offer of €175million would leave them with little choice but to accept.
