Micah Richards has tipped Chelsea to be a ‘scary’ team next season should the club pull off a sensational swoop for in-demand ace Erling Haaland.
Borussia Dortmund talisman Haaland is widely expected to be dragged into a big-money transfer saga this summer with a number of elite clubs eyeing him up.
Sportsmail understands that Chelsea are among them – and Richards believes the potential signing would be the final piece of the jigsaw for Thomas Tuchel.

‘I think they’ve got absolutely everything,’ Richards told the BBC. ‘They’ve sorted their defensive problems.
‘The only thing to add that little bit of icing to the cake would be a striker. They’ve put Werner in there, they’ve put Havertz in there.
‘It seems like they’ve not really cracked that offensive aspect of the game. I’m not going to speculate. If you put Haaland in this team, they’ll be scary next season.’

Haaland was infuriated after Dortmund lost more ground in the race to qualify for Europe in the Bundesliga this weekend following their draw with Koln.
His heated reaction points towards the growing certainty that he will move on at the end of the season – and Joe Cole has also urged Chelsea to secure his signature.
It was revealed by Sportsmail earlier this month that the Stamford Bridge outfit are one of the favourites to land Haaland.
Manchester City are believed to be at the front of the queue, while Manchester United are reluctant to be dragged into a bidding war.

Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are understood to be among the clubs lining up a move for Haaland
Haaland has a £90million buy-out clause which must be paid in one lump sum – and Chelsea are believed to have the resources to pull off the deal.
The arrival of the formidable Norway international may help aid the club’s blunt attack in front of goal since Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard in the dugout.
Both Timo Werner, signed for £47.5m, and Kai Havertz, who also arrived from Germany in an £89m deal, have struggled to score regularly this term.
Richards also insisted that Tuchel should be afforded time to help Chelsea improve offensively
Chelsea progressed to the FA Cup semi-finals with their superb streak under Tuchel continuing
But, in the midst of Chelsea’s impressive unbeaten record under new management, Sportsmail columnist Richards believes the club will soon sharpen up in attack.
‘He’s still trying to find out what his best team is,’ Richards added. ‘He’s gone with different systems. It’s all about working out what’s best for your team.
‘Everyone thinks, “oh, new manager… we’re going to score loads of goals.” It never happens. Give him time next season to implement his style.’
