Thomas Tuchel will be hoping for a much better performance from his Chelsea team when they travel to Crystal Palace this evening.

Chelsea were thumped 5-2 by West Brom last weekend in a major upset, but can move back into the top four with victory here, and will be buoyed by their mid-week Champions League win at Porto.

Palace, meanwhile, have the chance to more or less guarantee their top-flight status for another season and can climb above Wolves into 12th with a draw.

With just under ten minutes before the action starts in London, here is a reminder of how both teams shape up…

Crystal Palace: Guaita, Ward, Cahill, Kouyate, van Aanholt, Ayew, Milivojevic, Riedewald, Eze, Zaha, Benteke

Substitutes: Butland, Dann, Kelly, Mitchell, McCarthy, Schlupp, Townsend, Rak-Sakyi, Mateta

Chelsea: Mendy, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger, Hudson-Odoi, Jorgnho, Kovacic, Chilwell, Pulisic, Havertz, Mount

Substitutes: Kepa, Alonso, Emerson, James, Kante, Ziyech, Abraham, Giroud, Werner

Roy Hodgson insisted pre-match that he’d ‘like to think’ his Crystal Palace team come into this clash full of confidence due to their good form.

His players have been going through the gears as we edge ever closer to getting underway – and will look to inflict another setback on Chelsea.

Thomas Tuchel has a rich array of attackers to call on from the bench, depending on how the game goes, and will be fixated on taking fourth.

It’s another start today for Mason Mount and his journey to becoming an integral performer at Chelsea has been meteoric.

Frank Lampard was the man who introduced Mount to first-team football at Stamford Bridge and lavished plenty of praise on him yesterday.

Speaking for the first time since his sacking in January, Lampard backed Mount to become a ‘fantastic player’.

Crystal Palace have lost their last six Premier League games against Chelsea – making it their worst ever losing run in this match-up.

As for the visitors, they have won eight from their last 10 away fixtures at Selhurst Park.

They will need another one today to ensure they re-find domestic form for the business end of the season.

Now that’s how to silence your critics!

Liverpool looked set to drop yet more points at Anfield in their bid to break into the top four, but Trent Alexander-Arnold crashed home late on.

That superb strike means that the champions have risen into fourth, for the time being, and level on 52 points with fifth-placed West Ham.

The match report from RIATH AL-SAMARRAI at Anfield will be live at the link below shortly.

Roy Hodgson and Thomas Tuchel shared a nice moment after both teams arrived at the ground earlier.

Reece James and Ben Chilwell were also snapped taking a stroll across the pitch.

The scene is well and truly set, and the gloves will certainly end up coming off, for this 5:30pm kick-off!

With just eight matches left this season, Roy Hodgson’s future in the Crystal Palace dugout still firmly remains up in the air.

Hodgson, however, has now revealed that a decision is close – with his deal set to expire this summer.

There may be a mass exodus at Selhurst Park in the near future with several first-team players also primed to leave on free transfers.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel pulled no punches when questioned about the woes experienced by Chelsea’s big-name attackers.

Timo Werner, dropped today, and Kai Havertz have both struggled to net regularly – and Tuchel has given them until the end of the season.

You can read his full quotes on his dilemma below…

Chelsea have no less than three centre forwards among the substitutes – Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner.

Werner has dropped to the bench for this one, and Reece James has also been rotated out.

Kurt Zouma, Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi are all handed starts.

Crystal Palace are unchanged this evening from the team which drew with Everton last time out.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, 18, is on the bench for the hosts and may feature against the club that released him,

Starting XI: Mendy, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger, Hudson-Odoi, Jorgnho, Kovacic, Chilwell, Pulisic, Havertz, Mount

Substitutes: Kepa, Alonso, Emerson, James, Kante, Ziyech, Abraham, Giroud, Werner

Starting XI: Guaita, Ward, Cahill, Kouyate, van Aanholt, Ayew, Milivojevic, Riedewald, Eze, Zaha, Benteke

Substitutes: Butland, Dann, Kelly, Mitchell, McCarthy, Schlupp, Townsend, Rak-Sakyi, Mateta
