Chelsea have eyed Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero in the transfer window this summer. Thomas Tuchel is desperate to land a striker for next year.

Chelsea could start the first game of next season with both Haaland and Aguero with the club pursuing both of them.

It comes as the Blues make signing a striker a priority going into the transfer window as Thomas Tuchel starts to mould his squad.

There are several problems with the current crop Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner.

Giroud will be out of contract at the end of the season, Abraham has yet to agree a new deal amid links away and Werner has had toils in front of goal.

And Haaland and Aguero have become available ahead of the summer with teams across the world looking to land them.

At Dortmund, they have slapped a £124m price-tag on their prized asset, who has scored 33 times in 31 appearances.

According to the Guardian, Chelsea are one of the frontrunners to land Haaland, though Manchester City, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested.

It means there will be a free-for-all for the Norwegian’s signature, though how anyone will be able to fork out Dortmund’s asking price remains to be seen.

As for Aguero, City announced this week that he will leave at the end of the season when his contract expires.

It calls time on a 10-year long career at the Etihad, where he has scored 257 times in all competitions.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are at the front of the queue to sign the Argentine for nothing – who wants to stay in the Premier League.

The Blues tried to sign the 32-year-old back in 2011 when he was at Atletico Madrid but he turned them down to move to City.

Signing both strikers is a potential option for Tuchel, who would not be short of firepower regardless with Kai Havertz also utilised as a false-nine.

That would be a dream scenario for fans at Stamford Bridge, where a major summer revamp is already being scheduled by Roman Abramovich.

A defender is still being eyed with Ibrahima Konate and Niklas Sule are linked while the likes of Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Kurt Zouma potentially leaving.
