Everton fans dumbstruck by Moshiri and Kenwright’s words after West Ham defeat

Everton fans were left dumbstruck as majority owner Farhad Moshiri said "it's not my decision" to sack Frank Lampard.

Chairman Bill Kenwright also labelled their current situation a "bad time" after a 2-0 defeat at fellow relegation-threatened side West Ham left them languishing in 19th in the Premier League table. Both were approached by Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill post-match.

He asked Kenwright: "Bill is that it for Frank now do you think? It's been a tough run of results hasn't it?" Kenwright replied: "It's been a bad run of results for us all and for Frank, but no, I would never ever say that to you. Ever."

Cotterill hit back: "But things have to change pretty quickly don't they?" Before Kenwright added: "Yeah, we've just got to start winning haven't we. It's a bad time."

Moshiri, meanwhile, said: "I can't comment. It's not my decision." The pair's comments did nothing to calm down the already furious Toffees supporters.

One fumed: "Not Moshiri's decision… who owns the club?" A second echoed: "It’s not his decision?! He’s the majority owner isn’t he?!"

"As if Moshiri is still trying to take digs at the fans, I actually hope they all lose everything when we go down," commented a third. A fourth lamented: "Looks like he hasn’t got a clue how to fix it."

A fifth tweeted: "I do not have words." And a sixth simply wrote: "Embarrassing…."

A brace from Jarrod Bowen, including a controversial opener with Everton felt should've been ruled out for offside, sunk the Toffees on their travels, leaving Lampard still searching for his first league win since October.
