Everton have slapped a price tag of £70million on Richarlison, who could leave before the end of the summer transfer window, according to reports. Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Richarlison as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid are attempting to sign Mbappe after the Frenchman entered the final year of his contract.

Everton boss Rafa Benitez said at his press conference on Friday that he is “99.99 per cent” sure that Richarlison will be staying on Merseyside.

But, speaking on Reach PLC’s Transfer Window podcast, Ian McGarry has different information.

McGarry says there is still a good chance Richarlison could leave this month.

“[Benitez] says that Richarlison is not for sale but my information from Everton in a very high place was he’s available for £70m,” he said.

“So it may be that someone needs to tell Rafa that before he does press conferences saying he’s not available and he’s not for sale.

“So Richarlison could be heading out of Goodison Park.”

Richarlison still has three years remaining on his Everton contract.

He has played every minute of the first two Premier League matches of the season and scored on the opening day against Southampton.

Speaking on Friday, Toffees manager Benitez said there was no sense to the rumours about the 24-year-old leaving.

“We are working on the players that we want to be sure that we can get and the players that maybe we will not need. We are working on that,” the Spaniard said.

“The main one, when people talk about speculation, is Richarlison. We are very happy with him.

“My idea is that 99.99 per cent, he will stay. I am happy with him, he is happy here and he wants to score goals.

“Obviously you never know what will happen in the future but 99.99 per cent – I will repeat myself again – he will stay and he will hopefully score (at Brighton).

“I was talking with him on Thursday.

“We had a 5-a-side, he was joking, he was scoring goals. This is a player that is happy to do well here and is happy to score goals.

“In his head, the only thing that I know he has is Brighton.

“In football, you never know. But this is one of the speculations that I can almost be sure has no sense.”
