Fans spot Harry Kane ‘left out’ of Tottenham video after transfer request

Tottenham fans have spotted Harry Kane getting “left out” of a promotions video for their game against Aston Villa – a day after his transfer request.

The Englishman has handed in a transfer request, having scored more than 200 goals for the club but not won a single trophy.

With a bidding war set to ensue, Spurs were left ‘furious’ at the timing of the news to come in the last week of their season.

They have a home clash against Aston Villa before travelling to Leicester, facing a battle with West Ham to secure a Europa League spot next season.

And a promotional clip for the upcoming game against the East Midlands side makes an omission of want-away forward Kane.

With the Government’s Covid-19 regulations relaxed on Monday, 10,000 supporters will be allowed into the North London stadium for the top-flight fixtures.

To mark the event, Spurs shared a video featuring Lucas Moura, Son Heung-Min and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg explaining their feelings towards having fans back at the ground.

But there is no place for Kane – and the Spurs faithful were left believing it was a confirmation of the 27-year-old’s exit.

“Kane isn’t in the vid. Coincidence? I think not,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “Notice how HK wasn’t on it – bye bye.”

While a third sarcastically wrote: “Lovely. 10,000 fans can be there to see Kane throwing his shirt into the crowd and waving good-bye. Happy days.”

And a fourth added: “Kane not in the video? Transfer confirmed.”
