Mino Raiola has revealed that there is a ‘big chance’ of Erling Haaland leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer as European football’s biggest clubs gear up for a huge battle to land the Norwegian sensation.

Haaland, 21, has enjoyed a supersonic rise over the past two years and has been heavily linked with clubs across Europe having scored 74 goals in 72 games for Bundesliga side Dortmund.

The Norwegian was linked with moves to Real Madrid, Man City, Man United and Chelsea last summer, with the 21-year-old’s agent Raiola seen travelling to Spain to drum up interest in his client, then valued at around £150million.

A release clause in his contract of £64m means that Haaland will now be available for a cut-price next summer, and Raiola has admitted that there is a ‘big chance’ of Haaland waving goodbye to Dortmund at the end of the season.

‘Maybe this summer, maybe the summer after. But there is a great chance that Erling will leave this summer. We will see,’ the super-agent told Sport 1.

‘Bayern, Real, Barcelona, City – these are the big clubs he can go to. City has won the championship five times in recent years, significantly more than United. When we moved to Dortmund, we all knew that this step would come.’

Despite Raiola’s best efforts to get Haaland a move last summer, Dortmund dug their heels in and refused to let their striker leave, having already sold Jadon Sancho to United for £73m.

Super-agent Mino Raiola has said that Haaland could leave Dortmund at the end of the season

Raiola said that he admires Dortmund’s determination to keep hold of Haaland for this season, even despite the fact the club would have made significantly more money with a sale last summer.

‘When you see the passion of the people in Dortmund, that’s great,’ he added. ‘Every player loves this yellow wall, including Erling.

‘He came because he wanted to play in front of this grandstand. Incidentally, it would have been much easier and perhaps even better for Dortmund to sell Erling in the summer. But you said no for footballing reasons. That deserves my greatest respect.’

Manchester City have been linked with the £64m star with Pep Guardiola in need of a striker

Bayern Munich were also named by Raiola, and have a track record of buying Dortmund’s stars

Premier League champions City are desperate for a new striker, having missed out on Harry Kane over the summer. Pep Guardiola’s side have no genuine centre forward options and Haaland’s arrival would certainly solve that problem. Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, also played for the club during his playing career.

Madrid are lining up a big summer transfer window and have been desperate to land PSG star Kylian Mbappe, who is out of contract next summer. Bayern Munich have a track record of nabbing Dortmund’s best players.

Barcelona are in the midst of a financial crisis, with debts surpassing the £1billion mark. Given their financial turmoil, a move for Haaland would not appear plausible, although the club have transfer listed big names in Frenkie de Jong, Sergino Dest and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
