Hakim Ziyech looks set to become the latest casualty of Thomas Tuchel’s squad overhaul at Chelsea, with the Moroccan nearing a summer departure. He has only spent one season at Stamford Bridge, after joining the Blues from Ajax in a £34million transfer deal.

The 28-year-old has failed to replicate the stunning form he showed in the Eredivisie which earnt him a move to the Premier League.

He made 15 starts for Chelsea in the top-flight last term, but scored just two goals and notched only three assists.

That failure to replicate his Ajax performances has now led to Ziyech becoming at serious risk of a summer exit.

Tuchel is set to overhaul his squad this summer, having not made a signing in the final weeks of the January transfer window after taking over from Frank Lampard.

The new-look attackers of Ziyech, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz failed to fire after their big money moves to England.

With Erling Haaland continuing to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund, one of those three stars could be forced to depart.

Tuchel appeared to be keen to stick with Werner despite his lack of goals, while Havertz also showed hints of huge potential towards the end of the campaign.

With Mason Mount taking one of the spots behind the striker, that would leave three players fighting for the other if Haaland did join the Blues.

To ease that tension, it now appears that Tuchel will seek to move Ziyech on this summer, despite him only having spent six months playing under the German.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the attacker is now “estranged” from Tuchel, suggesting the Blues boss will be happy to see the former Ajax star go.

In fact, that relationship is so damaged, that the Italian news website reports that Ziyech is “on his way out” of the Premier League side.

His failure to deliver consistent performances and a tendency to shy away in big matches appears to have put paid to his Chelsea future.

One potential destination for the out of favour star is AC Milan, who have been named as one of the interested parties.

They have already completed a deal to sign Ziyech’s former Chelsea team-mate Fikayo Tomori and are now eyeing further deals with the Blues.

With Hakan Calhanoglu on the verge of leaving the San Siro, there is a space in the squad for a new winger.

But Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the protracted nature of the Tomori deal, coupled with Ziyech’s high wage demands, could make a deal difficult to complete.
