Cristiano Ronaldo joined Manchester United for a second time in the summer transfer window, but it is yet to be seen whether the Portuguese will start on his return to Old Trafford. The Red Devils take on Newcastle United this Saturday in Ronaldo’s long-awaited second debut after a 12-year hiatus from the north west.
And with fans scrambling for tickets to see his second coming, there is an anticipation that he will start for United despite their good form.
However, they may instead see their hero introduced from the bench as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eases him in to proceedings. Express Sport takes a look at the possible line-up to face the Magpies on Saturday.

Tom Heaton will likely be the bench choice following his move from Aston Villa in the summer.
Defence: Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw
United’s first-choice defence has been hugely resilient this season.
All of the above bar Varane have played every single minute in the Premier League this season, with the Frenchman coming into the side against Wolves and grabbing the assist for Mason Greenwood.

And having only conceded two goals – one being a Luke Ayling howitzer that nobody could have stopped – there is no reason for this to stop.
Midfield: Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes
McTominay has only played 84 minutes in the Premier League this season after a stellar campaign last year.
But with United fans hastily going off Fred and Nemanja Matic’s abilities in the centre of the park, it could be his time to step in.
Elsewhere, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes will continue to run the United midfield with their combined talent.

Attack: Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Edinson Cavani
Sancho has featured in every Premier League game this season, with his only start coming in the last game against Wolves.
Daniel James started on the other wing in the game at Molineux, but his move to Leeds means that slot is now vacant.
If Ronaldo wasn’t to start on Saturday, it could see free-scoring Mason Greenwood shifted into that area whilst Edinson Cavani could be given the reigns upfront.
