Paul Pogba’s long-awaited return to Juventus could be confirmed today with the departing Manchester United midfielder set to meet with Bianconeri officials in Turin.
Pogba, 29, is leaving United upon the expiry of his contract next week, meaning he can be snapped on a free transfer this summer.
A move back to Juve, whom he enjoyed great success with before sealing an £89million return to Old Trafford in 2016, appears to be the Frenchman’s preference, with fellow suitors Paris Saint-Germain failing to convince him to head home.

The Italian giants are therefore poised to re-sign him on a four-year contract when he officially departs United next week, and confirmation of the move may be in store today.
Pogba is set to meet with Juve chiefs on Thursday to finalise his return to Turin, where he previously claimed four Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias while reaching the Champions League final.
He did not reach the same heights in Manchester, only capturing the Europa League and League Cup during a disappointing six-year stint back at United.
The 2018 World Cup winner never lived up to his then-world-record fee, proving too inconsistent on the pitch and problematic away from it.

Ahead of his second exit, Pogba has also irked United supporters for perhaps the final time after clips of his new documentary were released earlier this month.
One section of the documentary shows Pogba and his late agent discussing a £300,000-a-week contract offer from the Red Devils, which he branded ‘nothing’.
‘How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and offer him nothing?’ he said. ‘Never seen that.’
United fans were left seething with the footage, labelling Pogba a ‘greedy egomaniac’ and welcoming his departure at the end of the month even further.
The Premier League club are now on the verge of losing their record recruit to Juve for a second time, having also seen him leave on a free transfer in 2012.
Sportsmail previously revealed Pogba cost United almost £1million per game during his six years back at Old Trafford and will pocket a £3.78million loyalty bonus when he moves on again.
