Juventus ‘propose Adrien Rabiot’ to Man Utd in Paul Pogba swap transfer

Manchester United have expressed an interest in Juventus' proposal to include Adrien Rabiot in a swap deal for Paul Pogba, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie A champions are keen to bring the World Cup winner back to Turin having sold him to United in 2016.

Pogba has expressed a desire to seek a new challenge and continued to be in the headlines despite being injured for much of the season.

The coronavirus pandemic has hit the finances of several clubs, Juventus included meaning they will struggle to find the cash for Pogba.

A swap deal has been touted with United keen on adding dynamic midfielders to compliment Bruno Fernandes, reports CalcioMercato.

The Portuguese star arrived from Sporting Lisbon in January and has hit the ground running.

But while United are keen on Rabiot they would require he take a hit on his current salary which is between £5m – £6m-a-year.

The former PSG man only left the Parc des Princes last summer but has struggled to settle in Italy.

Rabiot has made 24 appearances this term without finding the back of the net.

United themselves are likely to test the transfer market once again as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks more reinforcements.

But dealing with the future of Pogba will be high on his agenda amid continued distractions.

Mino Raiola, Pogba's agent, has clashed with Solskjaer this term after the Norwegian said “Paul is our player and not Mino’s."

Raiola hit back on Twitter and said: “Paul is not mine and for sure not Solskjaer’s property, Paul is Paul Pogba’s. You cannot own a human being already for a long time in the UK or anywhere else.
