Kane ‘accepts Tottenham stay’ as Daniel Levy takes Man Utd and Man City stance

Harry Kane has “accepted” he will be staying at Tottenham next season as chairman Daniel Levy’s stance on Manchester United and Manchester City has emerged.

The Englishman, who has 27 goals and 16 assists this season for Spurs, had been linked with a exit from north London after 17 seasons with the club.

And the Manchester sides are reportedly the most interested in the Premier League, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking for a leader of his attacking line.

But Pep Guardiola has just seen a position open up with the announced departure of club legend Sergio Aguero.

Spurs chairman Levy, though, has other ideas, according to The Sun .

While Kane is “loyal” to the club, he is aware that a switch may be necessary in order to win titles.

But the businessman has declared he will not do business with either of the Premier League clubs, putting the forward’s valuation at £175m.

And this also rules out clubs on the continent such as Real Madrid and Barcelona, who has shown interest in the 27-year-old but have been hit financially by Covid-19.

While interest in targets such as Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe from the Spanish sides, both seven years younger than the Spurs star, could sway them away from Kane.

All of these factors have seen the forward “accept” that he will be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the 2021/22 season.

The Englishman has represented Spurs more than 300 times, scoring 215 goals over the last 12 seasons.
