Liverpool are plotting to sign a forward who is similar to Mohamed Salah, according to reports. Salah is the Premier League’s leading goalscorer this season, level with Harry Kane on 17. But the Egyptian’s future at Anfield is in doubt after he once again stated recently he would be open to a move to Spain one day.
Liverpool need something of a squad refresh this summer after a difficult campaign domestically.
Reports say they are finalising a deal to sign RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate.
The Reds are also linked with former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey.
But it appears Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen up top as well.

Duncan Castles of the Transfer Window podcast says Liverpool have a “substantial budget” to sign a new forward in a similar vein to Salah.
However, he says that does not mean Salah will be on his way just yet.
“My information is that Liverpool have a budget to sign a striker, who can also play wide, in the summer window and it’s a substantial budget,” Castles said.
“They’re looking for a player of similar type to Mo Salah.
“Now, I’m not saying that means Salah is leaving, I’m just saying that Liverpool are doing the proprietary work to sign a player of his type.”

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with Salah in the past.
But Castles says Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the 28-year-old.
He added: “We’ve talked recently of the possibility that it’s not just the Spanish clubs that would look at signing Salah, it’s also Paris Saint-Germain who are in the market for another forward.
“They don’t know what Kylian Mbappe is going to do and there is an attraction with the ownership of the club to sign the most successful Arabic-speaking player of his generation just ahead of their World Cup.”
Speaking to Spanish outlet Marca in the last few days, Salah said he would be open to a move to La Liga at some point.
“I hope to be able to play for many more years. Why not?” he said.
“No one knows what’s going to happen in the future, so… maybe one day, yes.
“I hope to be doing the same thing that I’ve been doing in recent years. Winning trophies, scoring goals, helping my team win trophies…
“That’s the most important thing for me.”
