It was another memorable night for Kylian Mbappe as he helped PSG reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. The Frenchman is being linked with a summer exit to either Liverpool or Real Madrid, but Glenn Hoddle thinks he knows which way Mbappe is leaning towards.

Liverpool have been warned that they may not be able to sign Kylian Mbappe due to his transfer dream of joining Real Madrid.

Mbappe, who has been hailed as the “best player in the world”, helped guide PSG into the semi-finals of the Champions League this week with an away goals victory over Bayern Munich.

The Frenchman has been in fine form this season, most notably bagging a hat-trick in the Round of 16 against Barcelona.

And Mbappe is now being linked with a move to Liverpool or Real Madrid this summer as he looks to further his career.

But instead of joining the Reds, Glenn Hoddle admits that it looks more likely he will become a Galactico instead.

“Well he’s a superstar isn’t he?” said Hoddle on BT Sport. “He is the next best player in the world; if not he is the best player in the world now.

“The boy has got everything. He really has. Whether he stays in Paris, I’m not so sure.

“I think he wants to go to Real Madrid doesn’t he, it’s been said. But what a player.”

Meanwhile, Joe Cole revealed that he thinks Mbappe has overtaken Lionel Messi as the best player in the world following the match-up earlier this year.

“I was doing that game (against Barcelona),” the ex-Chelsea man said. “We sort of marketed that game as the changing of the guard between Messi and Mbappe.

“That night he was sensational. He’s got to be one of the most favourite watched players in the world.

“My kids love watching him, he’s their favourite player because he has that sparkle.

“It’s great to hear what Pochettino; because that’s the sort of character he looks like from the outside.”

PSG will face either Borussia Dortmund or Manchester City in the semi-finals.
