Liverpool star Jordan Henderson has reacted to his side’s 3-2 Champions League win over AC Milan on Wednesday night. Jurgen Klopp’s team had to battle their way to victory at Anfield. But the result means they’ve now got their European adventure off to a successful start.
Liverpool took the lead against AC Milan in the ninth minute, with former Chelsea star Fikayo Tomori putting the ball into his own net.
However, despite the Reds dominating, they then found themselves pegged back.
Ante Rebic and Brahim Diaz struck for Milan before half time, leading to a private inquest inside the Liverpool home dressing room.
Yet Mohamed Salah and then Henderson came to the rescue, with the pair both finding the net to give their side all three European points.
And Henderson, speaking after the game, hailed his side- though insisted they’d learn from the difficult 15-minute period when the game threatened to turn on its head.

“It’s been a while, wasn’t Ludogorets was it?” he said when asked when his last Liverpool Champions League goal came.
“It was nice to get back on the scoresheet. You know I haven’t got many goals.
“It’s something I work on especially in the number eight – arrive in the box and get some goals so always nice to get on the scoresheet.
“Yeah it was a good game. I’m sure it was good for the neutral to watch definitely.
“Been a while, the Champions League with fans back so that was really nice, thought the atmosphere was great but expected that.

“Started the game really well on the front foot as we normally do, scored then last 10-15 minutes of the first half we had a spell where we found it difficult, they scored two goals and were going in at half-time disappointed we’re trailing.
“But the second half started the game again got our rewards got back in the game, got the winner so overall delighted.
“But we’ll learn from that 10-15 minute spell as well.”
Also interviewed after the match was Andy Robertson.
And the Liverpool star admitted that, while the match was enjoyable for neutral fans, the Reds had to fight with everything they had to earn the win.
He said: “One of them probably enjoyable for the neutral, sure the fans in here loved it it by the time we got ahead.
“First half an hour I thought we blew them away, I thought we were excellent.
“Then we got a bit sloppy, started stopped doing what we were doing really well and let them back into the game going in at half-time 2-1 down thinking how has this happened?
“It’s important we forgot about the last 10-15 minutes of the first half and try come out what we done in the first half hour, managed to get an early goal which was so important, then what a strike by Hendo then it was about finishing the game.
“I don’t think they had any chances after that which was pleasing but we know how CL is an it’s so important to start with 3 points.
