Man City ‘ready to complete’ Grealish deal swiftly with ‘personal terms agreed’

Manchester City are close to a deal for Aston Villa star Jack Grealish and there is confidence within the club that a deal can be concluded quickly.

According to The Athletic, personal terms between City and Grealish have already been agreed, which is what created the optimism for the transfer during Euro 2020.

It’s reported that City are prepared to trigger any potential buyout clause to complete the transfer, and the deal could be worth up to £100m.

Important figures at Manchester City have reportedly been telling key agents to expect fireworks in the transfer window and a huge overall spend this summer involves the transfer of Grealish.

However, a deal could be complicated due to figures at Aston Villa believing that the England international is ready to sign a new contract.

Villa, too, are confident that Grealish will extend, signing a new contract just a year after his previous one, and they have told new signings that they’ll be playing alongside Grealish and not replacing him.

This summer is expected to be a big one for Manchester City as they look to spend massively to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League as well as go all the way in the Champions League.

They reportedly want to sign both Grealish and Tottenham ’s Harry Kane, not either, and deals for the both of them are expected to cost between £175m and £215m.

Grealish signed a new Villa deal just last September, extending his stay until 2025.

However, a successful bit-part role in England's Euro 2020 campaign has again put the midfielder's future under the spotlight.
