Manchester United are nearing a move for Real Madrid full-back Sergio Reguilon – but a proposed clause is holding up the deal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add more names to his Red Devils squad this summer.
And Reguilon's move is reportedly nearing, despite United and Madrid at loggerheads over a potential buyback clause.
Spanish publication report even though Los Blancos want to sell the 23-year-old, they're angling for a buyback as part of the deal in case the youngster flourishes in England.
Madrid want the option to buy Reguilon back in the next 24 months if he moves to Old Trafford.
United, however, want a straight deal with no added extras or clauses involved.
But in the end, Ed Woodward and co may have no choice but to give in, given the player apparently sees his long-term future in Spain, preferably at Madrid.
According to Spanish outlet AS, the full-back’s preference is to rejoin Sevilla on loan.
By doing so Reguilon will again be playing for a manager he knows well in Julen Lopetegui, along with supporters who were greatly impressed by his commitment while on loan there last season.
It will also keep his dream of becoming a first-team star at the Bernabeu alive.
Reguilon is a product of Madrid’s academy, emerging from their youth ranks to make his professional debut for the Castilla side in 2015.
He racked up 22 appearances for the first team in 2018/19, but Zidane decided a loan stint at Sevilla was the best move for his development last season.
It has also been reported that United will be offered an alternative to Reguilon in the form of Porto star Alex Telles, should the player opt out of a move to the Premier League.

Agent Pini Zahavi is keeping an eye on the fact Reguilon's move could falter, as he looks to send his client Telles to England instead.
Portuguese outlet A Bola report the super agent is expected to present an offer to United in the coming days.
The Red Devils are unwilling to spend more than £18m on Telles, given he turns 28 this year and is in the final year of his Porto deal.
The Portuguese club have dropped their asking price, meaning a transfer could work for all parties.
