Man Utd face Brighton and Nottingham Forest play Newcastle as fixtures confirmed

The Premier League fixtures have been released and the opening round looks to have some crackers.

Newly-promoted Nottingham Forest will travel to Newcastle for their first game in the elite division in English football for 23 years. Meanwhile Manchester United will face Brighton at Old Trafford, the side who smashed the club 4-0 during their last encounter. They will be hoping things can be a bit more different under Erik ten Hag.

Arsenal will travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace v Arsenal in what will be the very first game of the new season, with the match set to be played on Friday, August 5. Bournemouth will host Aston Villa at the Vitality Stadium.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard will entertain his former club Chelsea as the London side face Everton. Fulham, who won the Championship last season, face a tough test by the way of Premier League and Champions League runners-up, Liverpool.

Leeds United, who survived the season by the skin of their teeth, will play Wolves. Leicester City host Thomas Frank’s Brentford, Tottenham will see Southampton turn up to face them in what will be Antonio Conte’s second season in charge, nd West Ham United get the tough test of Manchester City travelling down.
