Manchester United will be offered an alternative to Sergio Reguilon in the form of Porto star Alex Telles.
Agent Pini Zahavi is keen to use the fact Reguilon's move to Old Trafford appears to be off, as he looks to send his client Telles to England instead.
Portuguese outlet A Bola report the super agent is expected to present an offer to United in the coming days.
The Red Devils are unwilling to spend more than £18m on Telles, given he turns 28 this year and is in the final year of his Porto deal.
The Portuguese club have dropped their asking price, meaning a transfer could work for all parties.
Transfer expert Duncan Castles has explained told the Telles situation in recent days, telling the Transfer Window Podcast: "[United] have been looking for a left-sided, left-footed centre-back and a left-back, or a full-back of some type, preferably a left-footed left-back.
"I can tell you that they've been offered the Porto left-back Alex Telles.
"Twenty-seven years old, relatively cheap wages, €2m [£1.8m] gross but out of contract in June 2021.
"Porto, I'm told, want €25m [£22.7m] for the player who has been offered to Paris Saint-Germain, that deal hasn't been able to be concluded.
"The agent involved is Pini Zahavi, who does quite a lot of business out of Portugal and actually was involved in some stage in Neymar's deal [to PSG in 2017]."
As for Reguilon, Tottenham are the front-runners for the Real Madrid star, who was on loan at Sevilla last season, as Danny Rose looks set to depart north London.
The Daily Mail report negotiations between Los Blancos and the player will intensify this week, as an exit strategy is worked out.
