Man Utd: Solskjaer says team have 'no excuses' in City game
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to make just the one change for his side’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Manchester City tonight. The Red Devils go into the game looking to avoid a repeat of what happened last season, where they lost 3-2 on aggregate. Express Sport will now bring you the expected XI for the showdown at Old Trafford.
Goalkeeper: Henderson
United tied down Dean Henderson to a new contract back in the summer.
But the England international has struggled for minutes this season – the Carabao Cup aside.
Henderson has played every match in the competition so far so he’s expected to start the match, with David De Gea then on the bench.
He kept a clean sheet in the last round, starring in a 2-0 victory over Everton.
And United will be hoping for another commanding display.

Defence: Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Bailly, Shaw
United’s defence has been questioned this season, with the Red Devils far from convincing at the back.
But there have been signs of improvement at present.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has started to find an attacking edge, while Luke Shaw has been galvanised following the arrival of Alex Telles in the summer.
At the back, Eric Bailly has flourished in the absence of Victor Lindelof.
And with Harry Maguire starting every game, we’re expecting him to get the nod too.

Midfield: Fred, McTominay, Fernandes
When it comes to the big games, Fred and Scott McTominay are often selected.
So we can’t see that changing for the match against City, especially with the pair in such fine form.
Then there’s Bruno Fernandes.
The Portugal international has scored 11 goals in the Premier League this term, while registering seven assists.
So there’s no chance he’ll get dropped for the City showdown.
Attack: Rashford, Martial, Pogba
United have given Paul Pogba a new role in recent weeks, with the France international playing on the left wing.
And with the 27-year-old starting to shine there, it seems like he won’t be dropped.
Pogba was offered to City during Mourinho’s spell in charge so he’ll be out to hurt them when the two giants lock horns on Wednesday.
Marcus Rashford is another player liked by Solskjaer and he should start as well.
And the same can be said for Anthony Martial, who has started to show his class.
