Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unsure about his starting XI as it switches between being toothless and fragility.
United have a wealth of attacking options available to them with Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.
Defensively United have been shaky at the back with captain Harry Maguire, in particular, looking far from convincing at times this season.
Solskjaer has alternated between two deep midfielders and diamond shape and mix Fred, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.
And Owen feels Solskjaer doesn't know what his best team is yet.
"Solskjaer is still trying to work out what his best starting eleven is," Owen told BetVictor.
"Whenever he plays McTominay and Fred together they look a bit toothless going forward.
"However, on the flip side of that, if he goes with his most attacking options, they look a bit fragile."

Meanwhile, Solskjaer has hinted United are unlikely to do business in the January transfer window, expressing confidence in the quality of his squad.
“It's hard to predict how other teams [will act] and how the financial situation is," he said.
"If teams need to sell or if they've got money to buy. I don't predict a lot of ins and outs, to be fair.
"The world, financially, and football has changed as well also. It depends how the injury situations are at different teams.
"I feel very happy with my squad at the moment. We're getting stronger. I still have issues every week when we only got an 18-man squad to pick from.
"Who do you leave out? I feel I'm in a good position.”
