Jose Mourinho has joked that he will have to wear flip-flops for the foreseeable future after being on the receiving end of a crunching tackle.
The Roma boss took to Instagram to post a clip of his foot being seen to by club physios after admitting that he was kicked by someone during training. And he also gave a hint over who it was that left The Special One crocked.
“If you see me limping or wearing flip flops you know that a player K kicked me ….K is RK or MK?” the caption read. There appear to be no hard feelings, though, with the post accompanied by a series of laughing emojis.
The caption would suggest that the perpetrator was either Rick Karsdorp, a longstanding member of the squad, or Marash Kumbulla, who was signed by Mourinho last year. And it led to fans making the same joke in the comment section.
One fan replied: "Who's getting benched boss?" While another wrote: "Who’s getting benched for the rest of season?"
Even Julio Cesar, who won the treble under Mourinho with Inter Milan back in 2010, got in contact to jovially poke fun at his old boss. He replied: "You're a doubt for the final!"

Mourinho's men defeated the likes of Leicester, Bodo/Glimt and Vitesse on their way to the final while the former Tottenham boss was seen in tears after reaching the tournament's last stage. It has been something of a mixed season at the Stadio Olimpico this year.
After spending big while also bringing Mourinho to the club, many had expected Roma to at least challenge for a Champions League spot. But they have largely been fighting for positions just below the top four and currently sit sixth in Serie A with two games left – behind huge rivals Lazio.
