Neymar has ‘retirement clause’ in new PSG deal which kicks in when he turns 34

PSG will reportedly be allowed to quit Barcelona at the age of 34, despite recently putting pen to paper on a new deal.

The Brazil superstar will stay in the French capital until 2025, with reports suggesting he has the right to stay an extra year on top of that.

Though Brazilian newspaper UOL report the 29-year-old can quit PSG to return to his homeland when he turns 34.

It would allow the former Champions League star to spend the rest of his playing career in Brazil before hanging up his boots.

Neymar has been an instrumental part of PSG's squad since his 2017 transfer from the Nou Camp.

Though he has failed to deliver the Champions League trophy to the French capital, with PSG coming agonisingly close last season as they reached the final.

And success in Europe is high on Neymar's priorities having confirmed his future with Mauricio Pochettino's side.

“I’m very happy, very happy to be extending my contract with Paris until 2025,” Neymar said after agreeing a new deal.

“The truth is that I’m very happy to be staying here for four more years, to be a part of the club’s project, to try and win titles, to try and achieve our biggest dream which is the Champions League.

"So I’m happy to be staying at the club, to be a part of it and to be extending my contract.

“My goal when I came [here] was to help get Paris Saint-Germain to the top, among the very best, and we are getting close.
