Paul Scholes has told former Manchester United team-mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he must win a trophy this season after bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club.
Ronaldo snubbed interest from neighbours Manchester City to re-sign for the Red Devils this summer, and it hasn't taken him long to hit the ground running.
The 36-year-old scored twice on his second United debut at the weekend, helping Solskjaer's men claim a 4-1 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford.
He has also given them the lead in their opening Champions League group-stage fixture away at Swiss outfit Young Boys on Tuesday night.
With Ronaldo in their ranks, as well as fellow new recruits Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho, United are expected to mount a serious Premier League title challenge while going far in the Champions League.
And Scholes has warned Solskjaer that he will have no excuses for not guiding the club to silverware this season.
