Paris Saint-Germain look set to ditch one of their striking superstars this summer as reports emerge revealing that the French giants have offered Neymar to his former club Barcelona.

PSG currently boast the most star-studded forward line in world football after Lionel Messi linked up with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe this summer.

But it now seems as though their time together will be short-lived with PSG seemingly struggling to afford having all three on their books.

Mbappe is now in the final 12 months of his deal – meaning he is able to negotiate with teams from abroad in January over a free switch in the summer.

PSG remain desperate to tie the 22-year-old down to a new deal, and it now seems as though they're willing to sacrifice Neymar to do so.

According to El Nacional, PSG have sounded out Barcelona, via intermediaries, over a deal to take Neymar back to La Liga; although Barca have reportedly made it clear that they have no interest in bringing the striker back to the club for a second spell.

The report claims that the French side have grown tired of Neymar's off-field attitude, with the Brazilian's tally of three goals in 12 games also a major concern.

PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi remains hopeful of convincing Mbappe to remain in Paris, despite the striker making it clear that he wants to transfer to Real Madrid.

PSG will retain Neymar's services should they lose Mbappe to Real next summer, but they are more than willing to sacrifice the former Santos man should Mbappe change his mind and decide to remain in Ligue 1.

Regardless of whether it's Neymar or Mbappe, it's certain that one megastar will depart the Parc des Princes next summer.

Ironically, after struggling to impress for the French side this term, Messi is the only one of the trio that is seemingly untouchable.

The Argentine superstar has yet to find the back of the net in the league this year, although he has netted three times in the Champions League.

And his struggles were magnified when he was hooked off at half time by Mauricio Pochettino during PSG's clash with Lille last month.

But despite his sluggish start to life in France, there's no danger of him not leading the line for PSG next year.

It's just unclear who will be alongside him out of Mbappe or Neymar.
