Real Madrid are plotting at least five high-profile departures to fund a blockbuster triple transfer swoop next summer, according to reports. Los Blancos are set to respond to the disappointment of missing out on Kylian Mbappe this year by pursuing not one, not two, but three ‘Galacticos’ signings in 2022.

Real Madrid were hunting Mbappe’s signature through to transfer deadline day this summer.

But Paris Saint-Germain’s reluctance to negotiate resulted in the 22-year-old forward remaining at the Parc des Princes for the season ahead.

Real president Florentino Perez lost two heavyweight names in the summer transfer window, with Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane chasing new challenges.

David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga arrived, but Perez had to go without the marquee attacking signing he craved.

The La Liga giants’ fortune could change next summer, with Perez eyeing a sensational transfer window to rival PSG’s recent transfer movements.

According to Diario Madridista, Perez is pondering a summer clear out that would see a handful of first-team players depart.

The report claims Real intend to wave goodbye to club captain Marcelo, Isco and Gareth Bale when their contracts expire in June.

Meanwhile, Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard will be placed on the transfer market unless they drastically turn their Real careers around this season under Carlo Ancelotti.

How Real Madrid can land Haaland, Mbappe and Pogba for £68m next year

Diario Madridista state that Real will free up the funds to acquire three prominent names by offloading several high-earning stars at the end of the campaign.

The club’s ‘clear’ goal is to sign Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba, two of which are set to be available on free transfers.

Real will likely start talks with Mbappe over a pre-contract agreement in January, whilst Pogba has also entered the final 12 months of his deal at Manchester United.

Haaland will be available for just £64million due to a release clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract, which Real could be planning to trigger.

Signing Mbappe, Pogba and Haaland for a combined £64m would present incredible business and a big step towards launching Real back to European dominance.

Perez is rightly looking to offload high-profile players to lower the wage bill, though, and deals for players of the trio’s calibre won’t come cheap.

Camavinga’s arrival has excited many over Real’s future, and Mbappe and Haaland would add to that buzz.

Pogba is now in his prime and would go a long way in helping replace the ageing Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
