Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest Instagram post may have fooled some fans into believing he had recreated one of his most famous moments during his Al-Nassr debut.
The Portuguese lined up for his club for the first time on Sunday, failing to get on the scoresheet in a 1-0 win.
There was a moment in the game where he went for another spectacular overhead kick but got it all wrong, only making managing to make contact with a defender.

However, Ronaldo still chose to share a picture of the acrobatic attempt after the game, a picture which doesn’t quite portray what really happened.
‘First game, first win – well done guys,’ he wrote alongside it. ‘Thanks to all the fans for incredible support.’
The 37-year-old joined the club last month on a deal that runs until 2025, reportedly earning more than £177m per year.
He led the line and played the entire game, his every touch met with a roar as Brazilian midfielder Talisca scored the winner.
Al-Nassr are top of the Saudi league, a point above second-placed Al Hilal.
